GEO Turf Consulting Ltd offers an extensive range of services from inception of
a development project through to practical completion of sports facilities including:
- Feasibility studies.
- Project risk assessments.
- Liaison with the Local Authorities and the Environment Agency.
- Surveying (topographic, soil and environmental).
- Conceptual layout designs.
- Production of detailed designs, technical specifications, bills of quantities and
construction drawings.
- Contract and Project management.
- Agronomy support.
In addition to designing new sports facilities we also undertake assessments of
previously constructed facilities and if required can undertake arbitration.
We normally structure our service into distinct stages, although we are entirely
flexible depending on our client's requirements:
Typical Project Phases are :
Feasibility Studies - Phase 1
The aim of this stage is to provide the Client with sufficient information to assess
the viability of the proposed development. |
Design & Tendering - Phase 2
Using the information gathered during Stage 1, and in consultation with the Client,
the aim of this stage is to develop a set of detailed designs, specifications, bills
of quantities and construction drawings.
These provide the basis for the preparation of tender documentation.
When the tenders are returned we can provide an analysis of the submissions based
on quality, capability and cost.
Site Works Management - Phase 3
During the construction period, it is crucial that the project is managed rigorously
for quality assurance and to ensure compliance with the specifications. We routinely
undertake site works monitoring and materials compliance testing.
Facility Establishment - Phase 4
We offer an agronomy support service for the establishment of the turf.
We strongly recommend inclusion of an aftercare programme, as it ensures both the
short and longer-term success of the whole project. |
